Why to stop at Kargil?
If you're are traveling from Srinagar to Leh you need to Halt at Kargil. One reason for Halt is the distance to be covered. Srinagar to Kargil is more than 400 kms. Sonmarg onwards route is traveling through high mountain passes .If we try to complete the journey in a day we will be tired alot.
Secondly we will miss to visit war memorial. It's not a tour attraction, but it's important holy place for every Indian. We should bow down in front of memorial and pay homage to all who led down their lives for our nation. We will owe to them till our last breath. We should also be grateful to all of them who guard our border all 24 ours despite of scorching heat, heavy rains or bone freezing cold. We can live our normal life as we want just because of our soldiers. We can't deny their sacrifices for us. We should show our gratitude to them at all times.
The other reason for stopover is natural beauty of the region. There are a lot of upside and down in our climate. The Kargil region has challenging atmosphere. In winter it remains at around 60 degrees below zero. The snow clad mountains and valleys will enchant you. You will miss the beautyto see and capture in your cameras. You will really miss a lot. At the end of April wild Tulips grow in Drass Valley. Also Apricot trees in near by villages are in full bloom by the end of April. It's pleasure to watch the blossom. Suru valley is a place one should not miss while on Ladakh tour.
There is aryan village is must visit place. We should visit and get acquainted with their culture. They are pure aryans. Few of soldiers from Alexander's army settled here. They married local women. Their generations are living in aryan village very happily and peacefully.
No tell me how can we skip all these things and move a head? We don't face scarcity of oxygen here.No worries. So to join this blossoms tour , please remain in touch with us. Make your tour memorable and delightful to recall.
